This year, the congress will be held online due to the pandemic.
## No Exhibition at the HeatTreatmentCongress in 2020
On 25.5.2020, the AWT informed its members that this year's HeatTreatmentCongress in Cologne has been cancelled. The letter states:
> Dear exhibitors at the HK 2020,
>
> Unfortunately, we have to inform you today with a heavy heart that we have to cancel the trade fair event of the HK 2020. This decision was not easy for us. The HK congress will take place as an online event.
>
> We only know part of the requirements of the state of NRW that will apply after 31 August for the holding of events and trade fairs. But these requirements are sufficient for us to design a scenario for the event and to decide that we do not want to impose a meeting under these circumstances on you or on us as the organiser.
The event will take place online. The organiser will provide further information on this. As soon as we have this, we will announce it here.
