Calibration
Thermoelement
All thermo-control thermoelement have the common design feature that they do not drift. However, quality assurances of high risk segments, such as aviation or automobile, demand a regular verification of the thermocouples.
Usualy these calibration measurements are done by a third party, neglecting the in-house resource in combination the thermo-control thermoelement, which allows a calibration measurement within production. Also your furnace temp distribution is much more homogenius than any other small calibrational furncae (which is usulally a small tube heated furnace with min 3 zones)
Therefore we suggest to make the calibration measurements in-house. thermo-control provides special verification thermocouples which fits into any thermo-control thermoelement. As the measurement takes place during production, you will not suffer loss of time and money.
The image above shows the calibration curve of a 8 year old thermoelement. The maximum deviation was 0,25%.
thermo-control is also capable to perform the measurement at your site. Should this measurement reveal a deviation of more than 0,5% then we will replace the thermoelement by a new one regardless of its age. This special on-site warranty is of course only valid for thermo-control thermoelements and which are undamaed/unchanged.
Oxygen probes
thermo-control oxygen probes are commonly known to be very tough and durable. However it may occur that a wrong carb-level is measured or that the probe does not reach the desired voltage. We can check the probe by heating it up to 850°C and fill a special gas mixture into the reference air system. After a periode of time the gas is shut down and the voltage/time graph is stored.

Due to this diagram we can determine first hints for the fact finding in comparison to other reference diagrams.
